Didn't see a thread on this, but I caught We Are The Tigers this weekend at Theater 80. I really, really enjoyed it. Lauren Zakrin is great, as is the entire ensemble cast. It was very The Wolves meets Heathers/Mean Girls.

Highly recommend checking it out, most platforms have it for real cheap during previews. Been listening to this song on repeat since: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtxLjlRQcxI

Did anyone else go yet? Interested to hear thoughts. It's not perfect by any means, but I had a damn good time. Hope it gets some love, especially since it's pretty out of the way.

I also went on Friday for the first preview performance and enjoyed it quite a bit as well, a fun Heathers type musical. I thought the ensemble/performances were great and the music was good as well. There are definitely a few minor issues in the book (the introductionuse in the second act of the flyer from the poor school, particularly seemed a little forced. And there were one or two technical mishaps, you might expect from the first true run through. While I enjoyed all of the songs, it did all start to sound sort of the same after a while (a lot of the songs turn into this dueling/overlapping singing between the girls which is a great device, but perhaps slightly overused in this show.) However, I'm being nitpicky, as for the most part I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this - and that the quality of the production, performances, actors and show was far higher than maybe I was expecting given the venue.

I would absolutely recommend seeing it as well.

If anyone is interested in a free ticket for tonight's show, PM me. I got it through TodayTix and I imagine if I sent you the email confirmation and a note "releasing" the ticket, they may allow it. Or, you may just try and pick-it up in my name. Rarely am I asked for ID at many theatres. I tried calling the office but there was no answer as of 4:50 PM.
