Somewhat OT:

For the past few months I've been going to a new barber. He's young, heavily tattooed and sort of "gangsta". His shop is immaculate, has a electric fireplace in it and a flatscreen tv that he shows dvd's on but pops in a kiddie video when he has kids in the shop. On New Year's Eve, the movie was "A Star is Born" and he was singing along with Bradley Cooper.

Last week I got a haircut and a hot towel shave. As he picked up his razor he started singing "My Friend" from SWEENEY TODD. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable and I told him so. He told me not to worry and advised me to ignore the trap door in the floor and his sister's bake shop downstairs. He mentioned she was transitioning from meat pies to empanadas to keep up with the dining trends in our area.

Nothing like a witty barber who is holding a razor to your throat!
