To me it looks like all new shows that are coming next year would benefit from discount codes. None are selling well. I'm also waiting for a discount for Virginia Woolf and Flying Over Sunset. I think Diana the musical has just a small fraction of seats sold (at least for the day I'm going to see it) ans still no discount... The How I Learned to Drive play will have the TodayTix rush which is how I'm planning to see it.
I also think that there's just too many shows are coming out at the same time next year. During previous years I always saw 3-4 shows that I was really interested in, and now it's more like 6-9. And I'm not even talking about off-Broadway productions.

Is there a way of tracking presale numbers out of just anecdotally checking the availability on telecharge/ticketmaster?

I'm with you, Six probably has the most potential of the new group, but to me its unclear if the length to price point is going to create a problem. It has been well received at its other stops, but at a fraction of the cost. NYC audiences certainly have the ability to pay, but at half the run time of a typical musical its going to really need to deliver.

Agreed. Spring is shaping up to be a good season for  both plays and musicals. 

I'm having hard time picking out my 4 shows for my Spring NYC trip but so far my current plan prioritizes age base discounts to keep tix cost down. This may be first trip I don't rely a on rush and can do other things other than wait in line haha. Any last minute announcements (Almost Famous?) will really throw a wrench in my plans...

I thought HipTix are only for Roundabout shows, no? How I learned To Drive is the MTC play.

Unfortunately, I'm 36 and don't qualify for 18-35 discount tickets programs, like LincTix.

I surely did buy The Jungle cushion seat for $36 :)

I have high hopes for TDF and TKTS next year.

I'm just checking the Theatermania often and pay attention to the Playbill mailings for discount codes. Of course, I'm signed up for all possible theater email updates. I never had a any luck with lotteries.

Correct that MTC is not Hiptix but they do have 30 Under 30, you just have to sign up for that program on their website and they email codes periodically :) The seats are always fantastic, too, in my experience.

They haven't sent a code yet for How I Learned to Drive, right?

Audience Rewards just released more $54 tickets (plus 1,000/1,500 points depending on whether you’re a VIP or not) through 1/30/2020. They’re going fast. I grabbed one for January 8th. My work just seems to confirm that I’m actually in New York City that week. LOL

Many dates for Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre's performances at NY City Center are on Goldstar, with discounts varying.
I had been looking for something for X-mas eve, & that date was included.

Interesting thst there's no code for Jagged Little Pill considering it's been up at TKTS since it started.

Also, the old code for TINA doesn't work anymore. Looking at dates in the winter and there's a lot of availability.

How I Learned to Drive will have rush etickets on TodayTix. I actually asked the MTC and they confirmed it on Facebook, so makes sense to wait till the previews start. Didn't hear anything about The Minutes yet.
