Any reports from the final performance? Wish I could’ve gone — what a beautiful, beautiful show.

It was a lovely performance. The audience was loving but respectful. While there was more and longer applause and cheering than usual, the audience did not make it about themselves. The cast brought their best today. Everyone was superb. They all maintained their cool and concentrated on giving another great performance. It looked like Katrina's eyes were watering as she said her final line. The concert at the curtain call was great, maybe longer than usual. No speeches, but the company and the backstage crew came back out after the concert.

I also saw the final performance this afternoon.  I had never been to a closing performance before and didn't know what to expect.  Every song got several minutes of applause, with Katrina's "Omar Sharif" and the gorgeous "Answer Me" getting the most.  I expected cell phones to be out but the audience was actually very respectful, and filled with love for this beautiful show.  Although the entire creative team joined the performers for the curtain call, there were no speeches.

It was such an incredible afternoon. My 50th visit - a perfect number to end on - and the atmosphere in the theatre made the entire performance feel surreal and completely unlike any of the 49 others I attended. Also, as mentioned, LOTS more applause than usual, some of which I started because that cast absolutely deserved it (the transition between Papi Hears The Ocean and Haleds Song About Love is usually quiet, for example, but I clapped and everyone followed - Etai needed that applause for once!).

One funny applause that had never happened before (in my experience) was after Itziks Lullaby, when Itzik hushes Simon before the audience can applaud, since the baby is sleeping. Today, the audience applauded anyway. Amusing to go through all that noise and then resume the scene of a quiet room with a sleeping baby. xD

Also the first time I ever heard entrance applause for Katrina, though Ive been told its happened before. All in all, a wonderful final performance for the first Broadway show Ive ever fallen in love with, and Im so glad I got to be there to cheer everyone on and then dance the night away with them after.

Ill never forget this show.

I'm really new to the Broadway scene (at least when it comes to seeing Broadway show) and I never really had a chance to see a show until recently. Back in December, my school had a chance to see either Mockingbird or Once On This Island. Both plans fell through, so last minute, we scheduled TBV. I was at first really disappointed that we were seeing this show, even with all the Tony wins/rave reviews. But then I saw it and wow! Really, a fantastic first show and I know I will never forget it. After the show, I listened to the soundtrack over and over and man it's gorgeous. Sad to see it close, but glad to have at least seen it.

Thanks everyone for your accounts of the final performance. So gutted that this one has closed. Last week I actually flew in from SF to visit friends in NYC, but also see this + Kinky in their final week. I had seen TBV once before on Katrina's first day of vacation from the show, and fell in love. But also still felt like I missed out on seeing to see her performance that I'd heard & read so much about. Plus I knew I wanted to see the show a second time anyway. I went to this past Tuesday night's show & the full company was in, including Katrina. Her performance alone was worth the flight but truly everything about this performance was. About as close to perfection as I could imagine. This show is one of the most magical things I have ever seen on stage and has had a profound effect on me that I can't quite articulate. I grew up in the theater community & love everything about it, but TBV is really something different. It will stick with me for the rest of my life. Nice to read how it has made others feel too. Look forward to seeing the tour when it comes to SF.  Excited for the casting announcement to come out.
