#1What theatre song(s) still makes you cry?

You should check the log, because there was a very recent topic on this subject (or one very close to it).  I remember that some the answers were Anatevka, On My Own (and about six other songs from Les Mis, This Nearly Was Mine, Move On, and etc.  The title may have been about 'saddest songs', same church, same pew, different seat.

B.JAMES:    I want to respond to your deleted question.

I had the good fortune to have seen the 1968 London production of "Cabaret" with Judi Dench and Lila Kedrova.  I was a young man when I first heard Miss Kedrova  beautifully sing this song.  It brought me to tears, but for reasons I couldn't have fully understood back then.  Half a century later, I now do understand.....and I still shed tears when I hear it.
