Last Monday I inquired about Waitress tickets at the TKTS booth. I only asked about the cheapest tickets which were $65 per ticket. I don't remember exactly where the seats were (they were higher up but in the center). We ended up going to a magic show instead, so didn't purchase.
My friend recently purchased his a ticket at TKTS for his first ever Broadway show which turned out to be Waitress. I believe he paid $100 and got a great center orchestra seat E106 about 2 hours before showtime.
Im debating grabbing a seat for Waitress tomorrow From TKTS so I will let you know if I do. What current codes are there? I thought they got rid of them for Gavin and Saras run
Thanks for the help. I'd still have to brave the cold but it seems like a better plan than rush. If it's only $65, that slight bump is worth not freezing to death.
If you go to tdf.org, click on the Learn More button next to TKTS Discount Booths. On the next page, click on Real Time Listings. That tells you everything you need to know.
I had also been interested in getting a Waitress TKTS ticket while Sara is in, so I've been checking the app every day. To my knowledge, it's been on the board every day. The price range is usually $110-$126, with it being a bit cheaper during the week.
I’m thinking about taking my chances at the TKTS Times Square location for “Phantom of the Opera” on a Thursday Matinee in mid-March. Not sure what my chances are of getting a decent seat. Do they give you options of locations (orchestra vs balcony, obstructed vs non-obstructed) or is it just a free for all?

They traditionally have just offered you the first tickets that pop. These tend to be the best seats/most expensive available at TKTS at that time. You can always ask where the seat is located before purchasing although they usually volunteer that information without having to be asked. If the seat they offer me first is not an aisle seat, I have explained I have long legs and bad knees and have been offered an aisle seat if one is available.
I have received good (i.e., If/Then) to phenomenal (front row center seats for both Matilda and Fun Home) through TKTS. I’ve only really received one bad seat (rear mezz at Studio 54 for Cabaret) which is a problem with Studio 54’s, not TKTS.
The thing I do not know is what happens when the TKTS app/board lists a range of prices (i.e. right now Chicago is listed as $68-$98). This is relatively new so I don’t know what happens then.

I've gotten Orchestra and Front Mezz from TKTS for Phantom. Once, I even got front row. I've asked them before if they have aisle seats or if they have front mezz, etc, and they've been very nice about checking for my requests.
Thank you Miles2Go2 and labellaragazza1 for the info. Right now only 6?seats (3 Premium, 3 Mid-Premium) of 39 available have been sold in the front row Mezzanine for that show, so maybe for a Thursday matinee I’ll have decent luck getting one. It’ll save me a bundle.
What would be the best time to show up in line to get for tickets at TKTS Times Square?

Based on the schedule I’ve laid out of things to see and do that morning (weather dependent, of course) I’ll be up in Times Square around noon. So maybe that’s good timing to hit the TKTS booth. :)

If you ended up buying TKTS tickets to Waitress in January - where were your seats located? I want to buy 2 tickets to the Monday 5/6 show, and am comparing price & seat location buying at TKTS vs at the box office using the Playbill discount code. Checking the code online, the discounted seats in orchestra are either the back 2 rows of center section or H and beyond for side sections ($79-89). Thanks!
