Yes, one is being planned. I think the St. James Theatre is being considered as thats where the original Broadway production of HELLO, DOLLY! opened. It should be happening in the next few weeks as its being organized.
I hope this isn't in poor taste, but if they do a show or an event in her honor, I hope Ryan Stiles is invited. His use of Carol Channing as a stock character in "Whose Line Is It Anyway" did more to introduce her to millennials than anything else ever did: I can't count the number of times I've seen people post the "Carol Channing has a magnetic head" sketch in the past week.

I'm not sure what I want more - a big-style biopic musical, maybe as a jukebox with her most famous numbers, or something totally different, like something by Taylor Mac.
Mid February would make it the day of my surgery. If it's the following week, I'll certainly be there. I,'ll just wear baggy clothes to hide the "pouch" I'll have strapped to my thigh.
