Derek Keeling Memorial Scholarship

Hi everyone!  As many of you know we lost Derek Keeling on December 12, 2018.  A scholarship fund for the University of Kentucky theatre department is being established. We need to raise a total of $25,000 to create an award in perpetuity.

What a wonderful idea!  He was such a talent, and it would be so meaningful to create a lasting fund to support more up and coming artists.  Please share on social media if you can!

Yes, please share this campaign on social media!  It would be fantastic to have a yearly scholarship in his name.  If you've ever had the opportunity to see Derek on stage (especially as Johnny Cash!) you'd know what a special talent he had.  Who knows what he could've gone on to do.  It's wonderful to think this fund might help someone else achieve their dreams and continue his legacy.

Im currently working together with the Social Work dept of my University to raise money for a memorial scholarship. I understand the commitment it takes to fundraise and put something like this together. All that to say that its a wonderful action to take, and can also be very healing for those who miss him. Such an honorable endeavor! Best of luck and condolences to his loved ones.

Bumping this one up.  Donations have stalled and we still have a long way to go.

Please share this fundraiser everywhere you can.  Somewhere there are students who will benefit from your generosity one day.

I've messaged nearly everyone on his resume. Contacted BC/EFA, Actors Fund, American Theater Wing, Broadway League, BroadwayGirl, and many others. Zero replies.

I've even contacted some local businesses here in NJ about having a fundraising day
