Hi All,
A newbie here. I just won Lion King Lottery for tonight’s show. I will take my 6.5 years old daughter to the show. She is used to good orchestra seats. We usually buy tickets from TKTS or directly from box office when we take the kids to the shows. My wife took our son to Lion King when he was 8 yo with advanced purchased tickets costed over $150 per person. They enjoyed the show. Instead of paying again $300+ for two tickets, I entered the lottery and luckily, I won.
My question is , anyone with recent ( or any) lottery win here ?
What is location of the seats they usually give away?
Thanks!

Not sure how much help this would be, but when I won the lottery (March 2017) I was but Im the very last row of the mezzanine on the last two seats on the left. I still absolutely loved my experience though the view is still good.

Thanks for the feedback. Was it partial view?

I'm also interested in hearing anyone's recent lottery experience - I'm thinking of trying for the lottery when my friend is visiting.

Congrats on winning this lottery. I've been entering for months and have yet to win. Maybe it's just me but the 3 Disney shows seem a bit harder to win than others.

I won back at the end of October and our seats were in the last row of the center orchestra section. Full view, but it did seem a little far away.

Were you still able to enjoy the show? Or you could not focus because of the distance.

I am just worried if my daughter will like it or will just complain if we get not so good seats.

Mine were second to last row orchestra and found the seats to be plenty fine. They wouldn't be my first choice but they're full view and much better than the extreme side and up close tickets like at Cher Show where you miss at least 30% of the stage.

As for your daughter, explain to her that the location is unknown but it's part of the excitement. And at the cost, it's never too early to teach someone the value of a deal. If she loves Broadway, she will grow up loving good deals so she can see as much as possible. Would she rather see Lion King with the perfect seat or 4 shows for the same cost?

The seats were totally fine and I didn’t feel like the experience was ruined from being that far back. If you’re on the aisle, she’ll get to be right next to the cast as they enter for the opening and a few other times during the show. I loved seeing the animal costumes/puppets /cast up close.

You summed it up perfectly!

Some people never win the lottery so enjoy it for what it is.

Man, I feel scammed. I won for 1 ticket this pst December, and I was in the center of the last row of the mezz.

The sound was TERRIBLE up there, I felt like I was a mile away

Our tickets were in the E row of mezzanine. Closer to the middle. The view wasn't bad. But there were taller people sitting in front of us. My daughter had to raise in her already boosted seats sometimes. During the intermission, one of the nice ushers told me that we can sit on the lodge/balcony part which is alligned with the first row of mezzanine but slightly  higher. My daughter loved it in the second part of the show. It was just two of us in that balcony. It was like private viewing:)
I asked her in the morning to rank the shows she saw. She put Lion King as number one among Frozen, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, and Spongebob. So I can say we had a great night for $66 ! My wife and son loved the Lion King when they saw it 3 years ago in their orchestra seats. But we had paid over $300 for the tickets then. I cant complain!
Thanks for all the feedback and good luck to the rest!

Glad to hear you had such a fun experience! Based on the shows you've seen, she may also enjoy Anastasia and Aladdin as well if you're considering future shows.
