The phrase used is: "...we misallocated tickets..." and so " we cancelled your order and voided the authorization on your credit card". A lawyer friend said the wording is specious. I'm looking in to it.
I was the very first person to post on this board my referral code and therefore amassed a large amount of referral credit. Hundreds of others here followed posting their code.
Then a few months later todaytix took away all my credit stating that the rules say referral codes cannot be posted online. I argued this must be a new rule as I've never seen it written there before, as I'm sure the hundreds of others here didn't either.
It's a real shame this glorified ticket broker gets any customers, as well as gets theater companies to give them exclusive rush and lottery tickets.

That's bull. Your referral code gave them a new customer no matter the means. Slimey company for sure.
But as long as they refunded the money - I don't think there is anything to be done.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Not sure how Broadway Box came in to this, or the box office, but whatever.DramaMama you're right, of course. Sort of.
If you go to a store and an item is tagged at a certain price, they can't scan it at a higher rate and make you pay it, blaming the manufacturer. To retain the customer you take the loss, honor the sale and correct the mistake. Same principle applies here, in my opinion.
And the.money hasn't been returned yet. But, according to Today Tix that's my bank's fault.
