I know there are some PR residents who are frequent posters on this message board, so I thought it might be fun to start a thread about fun things to do or see in Puerto Rico. During the next 3 weeks tens of thousands of mainland U.S. Citizens will be visiting PR to see Hamilton so please share any and all suggestions for activities outside of seeing Hamilton. Trip Advisor is great, of course, but it's no replacement for personal suggestions IMO.
I would recommend taking a small boat trip to see the bioluminescent bay (google to find out more). The rain forest is quite stunning and Old San Juan is awesome.
There is some great food to be had. For breakfast try Chocobar Cortes in Old San Juan. Also check out La Cueva Del Mar.. but come very hungry. The El Yunque rain forrest is a must. Old San Juan is very touristy as is El Morro. But really worth seeing. Bring your shorts, hat, and tank tops. It can get humid. Cab it from the airport but use Uber everywhere else. I wouldn't drive as rules of the road don't seem to be enforced.
