The Prom is growing!"
Where do you get that The Prom is growing?"
Well considering that they started in the 300's, then 400's then have been steady around the 500's with a few 600's (like this week) I think it's a sign that they are beginning to find an audience (that arent just getting comps). I'm not saying its doing well by any means but I am happy to see it sort of grow and not just fall right after opening.

It should do fine with Sara and Gavin. After that is another question.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
How likely do you think THE CHER SHOW will be open in June? My dad and I were planning to go for my birthday, but I'm terrible at predicting this. Will it be somewhat dependent on the Tonys?
Right NOW, I'm not sure why you are concerned....it's bringing over a million bucks gross - not a sign of worry, usually. Certainly, keep an eye on things, but if it can stay at 1M a week during the lean weeks (now until March) there should be no problem, regardless of Tony Awards.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I feel The Cher Show will have a solid run. Needs to do some TV spots this winter, but it's sales look solid as of now.

The Tonys are in June, and the summer season typically has a lot of tourists. If a show makes it to the Tonys, it typically would struggle until at least Labor Day. Even if it didn't win a Tony in early June, it would certainly make it through Pride with all the homos coming to town at the end of the month.
I saw the CHER SHOW last week and in terms of seating, orchestra was packed and so was front mezzanine and rear mezzanine. However, mid-side mezzanine (wings?) was noticeably empty. Just found it odd. I guess pricing in that section may be too high. Anyways, I enjoyed the show and was entertained. I wasn't moved by it and certainly wish that a ballad was included (the Adam Lambert version of "Believe" I think would have been spectacular) given all the songs were pretty much what you'd hear from her CDs. Either way I hope you enjoy it in June!
Normally end of June in NYC is a huge lgbt party but given it's World Pride here in NYC (50th anniversary of Stonewall) I have a feeling it may end up being the entire month of June & first week of July!
