Just back from Waverly. Loved it.  Every glowing thing said about May is true.  This is a performance for the ages.  Allen broke my heart.  Cromer and Cera were wonderful.

Should have realized Lucas Hedges would have been out today as he's up for a Globe tonight.  But didn't think about that booking tix for today.  As we were seated, the usher told us that this would be the first time any understudy was going on in the show.

Brian Miskell gave a superb performance as Daniel.  With May, Cromer and Allen there was such a feeling of family it was very hard to believe Miskell hadn't been playing the role every show of the run.  Always disappointing when a star is out of a show, but those times when the understudy knocks it out of the park - and this is one - are so exciting.

Absolutely agree about Miskells performance. It was his first, and most likely last time on, as none of the cast have missed any performances thus far. He was wonderful, with the added bonus that he looks a lot like a young Kenneth Lonergan. The other understudies were in the audience to cheer him on

Good for him. I noticed there isn't an understudy listed for Joan Allen. Is this simply the case where her u/s just isn't listed in the Playbill?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I saw the play for the first time today as well, and I didn't know ahead of time Lucas would be absent.  He was very good in the role.
