Shrek the Musical - Fiona Shoes

Hello! Im currently playing Fiona in Shrek the Musical and my director wants me to try to find green character shoes and green heeled tap shoes similar to the ones Sutton Foster wore in the Broadway production... Would anyone have any idea where I could find something like this? Thank you!

How is this YOUR responsibility? Doesnt your production have a costume designer? Thats their job, not yours.

Agreed with BroadyFosse123. That's not your responsibility.

They should be dying character shoes and tap shoes to the color they want (or paying someone to do it for them). Green isn't exactly a regularly available color for dance shoes. They most likely dyed them for the Broadway production too.

I’m assuming this is community theatre or school/college? 

You can buy shoe paint with which you could paint a pair green but it’s highky unlikely you will get green tap shoes. You might get a pair of green shoes that look like character shoes online though.

You can get 2 pairs of tan character shoes and use shoe paint on them, then you can have taps put on them.

And, yes, I'm assuming this is for a local production where actors are often responible for costume pieces...esp shoes.
