The senior members of this group might recall a poster named "BroadwayLady". She lived in New Jersey and was always organizing theater trips for her various organizations. She and I always exchanged Christmas cards but this year the card I sent her came back to me stamped "Deceased".May she rest in peace
That is so insensitive of the post office to return a letter with that stamped over it or even from the person who now has BroadwayLadys' address.'Return to sender' is the norm, not a public statement of your current state of health.
I am sorry to hear the news. I was also sad to hear that AfterEight had passed.
I wasn't aware that AfterEight had passed. Sorry to hear.
What? AfterEight has passed? I liked him and we would pm each other from time to time. May he rest in peace and enjoy his favorite classic Broadway shows in Heaven.
"I wasn't aware that AfterEight had passed. Sorry to hear."I agree, very sorry to hear the sad news.
Yes; very sad about After Eight. I always wondered what he was like in person... Did anyone here ever meet him?
After Eight just posted on Jan 4. Are we sure he definitely passed away?
After Eight is my favorite curmudgeon. I enjoy all of his posts, and how genuine he is as a contributor, here. I've never met him personally, but I hope the report is untrue so that he can see other posters express, "sorry to hear" and "I liked him". If I ever have the opportunity to see a show with him, I would do it in a heartbeat - and I'd pay for dinner and drinks after to have the opportunity to discuss it with him.
