What a fun coincidence! I caught this Sunday in Chicago and thought this would've made a better Off-Broadway show. I am happy to see it will have a longer life.
I can see it working in Stage 4, it's in a smaller theatre in London, and I've seen shows in Stage 4 with a second level, like Bare. I'd be worried about the lack of wing space for props and such, though.

Doubtful. Most of this cast has been there since Sept. 2017. Davi & Cash are the newest members for the cast. They'd also be taking a pay cut going to an off-Broadway salary.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Curious about how this will turn out, considering the guy they chose to direct it.
He was assistant directing The Color Purple tour when I saw it in LA, and it was a disaster -- everyone seemed like they were in a different show from one another, and most laugh lines were missed (which is a particular concern with TPTGW). I only recognize his name because we found it so poorly directed that we took the time to look up the AD in the playbill. And when I saw the same cast at Paper Mill, when he was gone and Doyle back involved, and it was night-and-day better.
Obviously it's possible that the issues weren't due to his direction, but considering most of his experience is stage managing, and that ADs usually take a bigger role on tours, I wouldn't be surprised. Hopefully this turns out OK.
