The actress playing Howard. She is going to be playing Evita in London and the ART run conflicts. She is even leaving Six a little early to leave for London. Likely one of the understudies will take over the role until the end of the Chicago run but it means that for certain, unless she cancels her run in Evita, she will not be able to do ART.

I just got tickets in the middle gallery.  Which are slightly more expensive than the lower gallery?  Can someone describe the house?

I think the descriptions they use are sort of odd, but I think it has to do with the fact that the theatre was designed for multiple configurations (proscenium, thrust, round, galley, etc) and the Galleries are unit structures that can be moved around.  For this configuration, I believe "Lower Gallery" is basically Rear Orchestra as it is only slightly raised and doesn't overhang what they call "Main Floor" while "Middle Gallery" is basically the Mezzanine extending over the rear section of the Lower Gallery.  The prices might have to do with whether you have an overhang or not, but they don't seem to obstruct anything with this particular show.  We sat in the back row of the Lower Gallery and the view and sound were still excellent.  It's a small space and there basically isn't a bad seat in the house.

For Six, they are using the first configuration show at the :22 mark in this video.  I don't believe they are using the Upper Gallery as it doesn't appear on the seating chart when purchasing tickets.

Thank you Matt.  I already got my tickets so it will be what it will be.  Looking into Ms Blak at Steppenwoolf now. Of course the night I can go is sold out.  But they said to keep checking.  I waited to long.  But I wanted to hear some opinions before going to make sure the play isn’t a wreck.

I saw SIX in Chicago on Saturday night, May 25th. It was AMAZING! Loved it SO much...however what could have made it even all that much more enjoyable would have been if the patrons in the audience, particularly the women, would STOP the damn screaming! I understand you are excited but for G sake shut the F up! Whooping in a high pitched scream every time the performers are taking a breath of air is not your cue to let out an ear splitting scream!

Most any production opening on Broadway is rolling the dice unless it has an overwhelming wave of positive buzz proceeding it (Hamilton, DEH). But I will say I’m a 55 y.o. gay man who is disappointed that Six isn’t playing the one night I’ll happen to be in Chicago next month. I will admit I haven’t been blown away by my one casual listen to the London recording, but that is normal for me prior to seeing a show. I remember being unaffected by the Hamilton OBCR until I saw it from the last row of the Richard Rodgers Theatre In 2015. I vividly recall walking around the West Village the next morning with the OBCR pounding in my ears. It felt like miracle. I couldn’t believe how amazing it was. Would I have a similar reaction to Six post-show? Who knows? But I’d like to find out, whether that be in Chicago, off-Broadway or Broadway.

As far as this not appealing to a wide audience ala BMC, I admit I haven’t seen BMC. But as such, I can relate why I haven’t attempted to see it: it has a reputation of not being very good and I am more than unaffected by the OBCR. I really don’t like most of what I’ve heard. So it’s not about the age group the show is supposedly targeted toward or is about that turns me off. I’ve seen DEH twice. I loved the revival of Spring Awakening. So I am there for stories about misunderstood youth (I was one). But that’s not even what this show is about. I’m guessing some think it would only appeal to younger audiences because of the pop-friendly actors.

I actually think this show has the potential to attract several desirable audience demographics: gay men, women, some families and of course theater-philes. Who knows if it would succeed on Broadway. It is truly a dicey proposition. But I’d love to be able to see it in a theater somewhere.

Was that the 8 PM show?  I was at the 6 PM show that day and while there was some cheering from the audience throughout, it was in the spirit of a pop concert and not overboard or disturbing.

I'm planning on seeing Ms. Blakk for President as well.  One of the cast members posted that he and a couple of other cast members were leaving final dress rehearsal, they were verbally assaulted by a homo/transphobic bigot who then pulled out a hammer and threatened them.  They weren't physically harmed, but it's just so depressing that it's still going on.

When are you seeing Ms Blakk?  The one performance I can go to is sold out.. but the theater told me to check that morning.  I would like to hear a informed opinion about it before deciding if I am going to spend my last evening in Chicago seeing this play.  This could be either really good or something venturing on the lesson and lecture side things.

In London it plays to every age group and everybody loves it. I had a 40-50 year old couple behind me last time I saw it and they were up on their feet dancing and clapping along to the encore x

You haven't seen the audiences attending the show. All ages. All going crazy for it. It's already appealing to them. This show bears no similarities to Be More Chill whatsoever; a show about teens marketed for teens. Six is more than it appears on the surface. It's an incredibly smart show that is wildly entertaining, but the execution of its concept is deceptively sophisticated. We're taking my 74 year-old mother to see it towards the end of the run, knowing she's going to love it.

Saying older people won’t like this is ridiculous. Have you read the reviews? Can only people under 40 like Hamilton? Can people only over 60 like Oklahoma? No.... Six first of all is about British history, secondly the songs are melodic and catchy - people are RAVING about this in London and now Chicago. I saw it in London a few weeks ago and I’m now pretty obsessed with it. It’s better than any show I’ve seen on Broadway in years. It will be loved by ANY AGE.

I also don't think that this show is like BMC. For one thing, IMO the score is much, much better. Second, I think that Six really resonates with women especially, regardless of age. I actually first heard about it not on a musical theatre message board, but a feminist social media page.

Btw, I bought tickets for one of the performances in Chicago and am super excited to see it.

I'm so happy at the hype the show is getting. All of my musical theatre friends have been in love with it recently. I know a few are gong to Chicago but I'm gonna wait until it comes to Boston

My husband and I are in that range.  Are we considered an "older audience"?  Be More Chill doesn't appeal to me because I don't think it's a good show.  I love all kinds of shows marketed for all kinds of ages.  I'm not sure why my age would have so much to do with whether or not a show appeals to me.  I really don't think it's the age of the audience that is Be More Chill's undoing.  More like the unwise decisions of the producers to throw it on Broadway.  It's the new Starmites.
