Woman In Black US tour |
Get an aisle seat if you can.
Jorge, I believe they didn't sell the other half because the view may have taken away some of the magic of the staging.
But the Royal George production is great. I recommend it.

I saw the premiere of the tour in Cleveland in September.
This is a production I'd always wanted to see, so I was very excited to have the opportunity. I haven't seen the movie and I went into the performance unfamiliar with the source material. All I knew was that it was supposed to be very scary.
Solid production and I thought the twists in the plot were clever, but I think the pre-show anticipation of what might end up happening was more exciting than the actual "scary" moments. I'd seen a few trailers and promotional audience reaction videos online which I feel hyped up the fear factor a little too much.
It played in the intimate Allen Theater in Cleveland and it seemed to sell well the night I saw it, but it was part of a good-sized subscription base at the Cleveland Play House (not to be confused with PlayhouseSquare's own separate subscription series in the same complex of theaters).
Dr. Jennifer Rinaldi will live on forever. Someone get her a Tony.

There are almost always school groups, because the book is "required reading" at many schools in the UK. The first time I saw the show, the audience in the stalls was probably 75% school groups and they were primed for the show, shrieking even before it began.
I saw this in London on my last trip there in 2011. Exciting, a bit scary, fun and definitely worth seeing if you have the chance.
I definitely plan on seeing this in Chicago!

That said.... it’s a great play. Does this “tour” have dates beyond Chicago?

I know it’s not the first time show has been performed in the US. That’s why I specified that this production that has been playing on the west end for over 25 years has been in the US.
I believe they head to Seattle next.
