I bought a cheap ticket out of curiosity simply because I love the play. I was hoping they’d get a different Bella, but I think Davie will be good. BUT Ovation Tix sent me an email this morning with this press release announcing a cast change. I gasped! Not only is Orange is the New Black my favorite show, but I grew up listening to Beth Fowler as Mrs. Potts. I never listen to the movie soundtrack, only the Broadway cast LOL. When I finally got to New York and saw the show many years into its run she was still playing Mrs. Potts (or had come back maybe) and I remember having tears in my eyes when she sang the title song because I had listened to her on the cast recording for years. Sister Jane AND Mrs. Potts! Best email to wake up to! Although I hope the other actress feels better soon.
