Saw it for free.Excruciatingly bad and under rehearsed. That being said, Clay sounds good and at least tries to make it work.

Clay does a really nice version of The First Noel, I wish my radio station would play it more.

They should have just done a straightforward Christmas concert as opposed to an awkward forced-humor show.

At least one of the reviews cites that this is being done to benefit a charity. So was it not meant to make a “profit” or is the overhead at least minimal as people/the theatre/etc. are donating their services? I will also say that the reviews are not as universally harsh as I expected although it is notable that NYT didn’t send Brantley/Green to review it.

Usually, any donations are made AFTER costs are made.  It's unlikely that everyone (or even anyone) is doing it for free.  (But there's still rent, costumes, rights etc to be paid.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

In the Opening Night photos, is the cool white drop behind them supposed to be that wrinkled? Less noticeable from a distance since it's all equally wrinkled. But up close, my knee-jerk response was to take a note.

Just saw them perform on Kathie Lee and Hoda. They are in top shape vocally. They sang "Don't Save it all for Christmas Day" and nailed it. I noticed they were playing a recorded version leading into the break. Would love to own it. This would have played well on R&B stations for the holidays. From poking around online i see Celine and Clay have recorded it in the past.

Since the show was announced and opened, I have not heard them sing. I have been thinking of seeing it and may go just to hear their voices. They sound great.

Just give the world Love.

Whoopi & Meghan McCain just raved about the show earlier on The View. Both were at the opening night.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I will say Clay was vocally top notch when I saw it and hit some impressive notes at the end. Ruben sounded great throughout as well, but never really made me understand why he won American Idol compared to some other vocalists out there. But he's likable, so maybe that's why. I just wanted them to have some like powerhouse duets, and they were all pretty standard riffs and stuff.

Cause it got slammed.

Some loved it and some didn't. I don't think any of them "slammed" it.  Critics criticize. Meh.

I'll say it again, whoever told Aiken that it was a good idea to dye his hair gray or white needs a good talking to. He looks twenty years older. Plus it's probably scorching his hair.

I actually really like his hair this color. I’d probably have similar colored hair if I’d let myself go “natural.” Lol

Every time I see these new pics of Aiken and Studdard, it seems like an ill-conceived Driving Miss Daisy revival.

I would pay to see that just for the camp and inappropriate factor.

It’s sad that you would consider this fluff piece a review.  You do know that a review actually discussed the aspects of the production? I wouldn’t walk across the street to see this diasaster even if the ticket was free, which most are.

As mentioned earlier, Whoopi and the ladies of 'The View' saw this opening night and raved about it the next day. Makes me wonder if ABC has money invested in this, or Whoopi and Meghan have their own money invested in this?

One thing which caught my attention was the number of times they mentioned 'affordable prices' for tickets. They kept mentioning to 'take the family it's affordable', 'tickets are affordable', 'affordable tickets' - WTH?
