I was gonna go, but the TDF ticket price of $49 exceeded the $0.01 I was willing to spend on this. Oh well.

I wish them every success.  They are talented and kind.  I would gladly attend if travel costs weren't so prohibitive.  From reading here again, I more fully understand the concerns raised on this site.  I agree with Kad, I believe it was, that this type of show will probably do better on the road.

On a bit of a tangent, here is a fantasy I've had for a while. No thorns, please.  I am more than willing to part with sufficient monies so that Broadway performers are able to be professionally engaged with the theater.  However, for those of us not residing nearby, accommodations are terribly costly.  I'd like to think non-profit hotels could be instituted for Broadway fans first and foremost.  Surely, there are persons of considerable wealth to consider spearheading such an endeavor.  Perhaps the idea is far fetched - however I'd be delighted to see an easier means by which lovers of the theater could enjoy it without taking out a second on one's mortgage.  In any event, it is my fervent hope that the arts, particularly on Broadway, continue to thrive.

This show is going to flop, but I can appreciate the fact that they at least tried on the set design, and it doesn’t look THAT hideous.

I never knew a holiday musical could make me feel so depressed. And then I saw tonight’s performance of Ruben & Clay’s Christmas Show.

Would you be willing to share a bit more of what made you experience it that way?  It varies rather much from what has been recapped elsewhere.  TIA

No, not at all.  I've not been active on this site in some time as you might surmise from my minimal posting history.  I just looked briefly at your profile.  We share many favorites in common.  I am genuinely interested in diverse opinions.  I enjoy understanding what appeals to folks (perhaps it's due to my formal education in the behavioral sciences in addition to classical music), especially posters here who I believe for the most part enjoy the arts in much the same way I do.  Sondheimite, for instance, took a bit of his time to share a response to a question I posed on another thread that I found insightful.  I am looking forward to becoming acquainted with members here and hope that my interest in what informs one's theater preferences will be accepted.

No, I saw a curtain call video on youtube. I wouldn’t waste my money on this.

My apologies Musicals3. I thought you were the avid, aggressive Aiken fan from the other thread. My bad. Sorry again.

Can we skip the "go see this" part?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Oh my.!..Hello robskynyc.  I re-registered recently...my email changed...I was the first 'musical' several years ago and I have more time to post here now.  I'm a classically trained musician and have enjoyed a life long interest in the theater, in particular the American Musical art form.  Too bad this site doesn't have an Introduction thread...I'd have been happy to post there first.

Feel bad for anyone that paid more than $20 to see this. It just looks very cheap. And yet they're charging $150+ for orchestra seats.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
