A little worried about The Band's Visit...
Also, Cody Simpson literally isn't helping Anastasia at all, is he?

Torch Song just keeps falling... I'm gonna cry.
Wow. HEAD OVER HEELS made just over 20K per peformance...
I don't know why The Ferryman having a difference of $13 is cracking me up but it is.
Looks like it was a rough week for most shows :/

I know it looks rough, but I think it's actually just a return to normalcy. Last week was actually the outlier, so strong because of Thanksgiving pricing. It looks like everything has sharply declined in contrast, but this past week was just a pretty regular one. Numbers will go up again in the coming weeks as we approach the holidays.
Anyone recall a time when one house shows up for two different shows in the grosses like the Marquis did this week, for Celebrity Autobiography and The Illusionists? I'm thinking perhaps if a show closed and another opened in same week, but that's pretty rare too. Looks like Celebrity Autobiography plays Monday nights. How odd for two Broadway shows to share a house like this........right?

In 2016 Lewis Black played the Marquis Theatre on Monday nights for a few weeks on ON YOUR FEET's dark night. Further back, Patti Lupone did a solo show at the Vivian Beaumont on Sunday and/or Monday nights when CONTACT was dark.

When will THE PROM pick up? I was hoping all the new ads would help.
Head Over Heels played at 34% capacity. What does that look like in the theater? 7 in 10 seats being empty. So sad. At this point, I can't believe they're subjecting the cast to perform to houses filled with 330 people (out of 960 seats) in lieu of giving away mass blocks of tickets to schools or charities or something. It makes me so angry that so much money went into this show for nothing.

I wonder why you picked out The Band's Visit to worry about. It's still doing much better than many other musicals you didn't mention, at 73% of potential at a decent average ticket price of $103.00. It's still making money.
The week after Thanksgiving is typically not a great week all around and last week was no exception.

And this effects you how, exactly? Sincerely curious to know the answer.

I get that the theater is mostly empty, but I think the performers are still excited to be telling the story and showing that representation. Not that I know any of them personally, but the two times I've gone (both Sunday matinees) the entire cast came out to sign and really took their time with the people at stage door, all super friendly and genuine. Yes, the theater is mostly empty but they're still grateful to be employed and get to tell this kind of story.

Makes you wonder who's still paying $258 for a ticket too...

FYI that's the top ticket price for sale, not the top ticket price paid. It's used as a part of the "gross potential" calculation.

Most people I know in shows say they can't see much past the first few rows, so they're fine and collecting a paycheck.

I'm planning to see Prom and Waverly Gallery this Saturday, but not really seeing any stellar seats, so looks like they are getting people in there, they just aren't paying very much?

Well, Head Over Heels will have run for over 6 months when it closes. So, by that trajectory The Prom could run until at least April. Of course, HOH had a an influx of cash from an anonymous investor which kept it running. The Prom might try to keep running with hope that if it keeps running through Tony season, it might be more likely to garner at least a few nominations. Not that it’ll help with box office. Based on buzz, I think Hadestown and Tootsie are the front runners for Tony wins for best musical which is what The Prom would need to see a boost in box office.
The many good reviews for THE PROM were a surprise, and the advance sale was very slim, so it would normally take a while for an unheralded show, with no big stars, to build. And the pre-Xmas slump doesn't help, nor will the early winter months. What's really sad is that TORCH SONG hasn't caught on, and it probably won't be a big holiday seller. The next few months will tell the tale...

I do believe it is not being produced by a non-profit (correct?) and even if box office picks up exponentially it will not recoup before it closes. Maybe if Matt Bomer was added with a naked shower scene... I do hope I can find a way to get to NYC before it closes. "
It is a commercial, limited run production, with 2ST having a small stake/loaning the theatre for it. However, the producers have a HOH-Level of zeal for the success of this show. I doubt it will shutter early, especially since 2ST won’t be able to put anything in on such short notice to fill out the rest of the winter.
