On my upcoming trip I was looking at seeing To Kill a Mockingbird. However the performance I was planning on (about 5 weeks away) it's showing a total of three seats left that are non-premium. Would you guys say it's really that close to sold out, or do you think they might release more?
Consider rush or cancels, but if you can afford premium, do so. It's worth it, but I suggest sitting as close to center as possible. I sat on the aisle 5th row right orchestra. My view was often blocked during the court scene b/c the prosecutor's table and witnesses blocked seeing it. I also saw it from aisle orchestra row J w/clear shot. Best way to see it. Great show.
My sister and I just got tickets for May 25th Right Orchestra Row D seats 10-12. Are those the ones with bad sight lines? I try to tell my sister closer isnt always better lol
gleek I was looking at the first week of January as well. Tons of tickets were available just a week ago, including $40 balcony seats. TKAMB just did a huge 60 Minutes profile on the show and now they are almost entirely sold out. I lucked out and found a Linctix. I would think you could find some via cancellation the week of.

Weren't the bad sight lines just actors and such setting up shop in front of you? Unless you sit dead center, seems unavoidable. If you can't see a part of the stage because of the way it's built, that seems more of a bad sight line than an actor obstructing your view based on the blocking.

I ultimately decided that I didn't want to chance missing it, so I bought two of the three remaining regularly priced seats in the mezz. My friend and I won't get to sit together, but we both really wanted to see it so it's no biggy. Plus with the Theatermania discount code, it was only $85 each before fees (normally $119 I think).
I rushed this show a week ago. Arrived around 7:30 and was second in line. They were offering $29 balcony seats or $49 partial view orchestra. I went with orchestra and got B 9. First row, second seat from the end. My view was fine. Definitely worth it to be so close. The only thing I couldn’t see was the jury but had a great view during the majority of the trial scenes. The woman in B 11 said her view was blocked entirely by an onstage musician and she left at intermission. I believe the same would be an issue for house right as there is a musician on that side as well.
