eBay tickets for sale, then not #1

Recently, a poster was selling tickets on eBay to several shows in order to buy a car, and the poster promoted the sale on BWW.

But one potential buyer was turned down, reports browneyes142.

I have never used eBay, but can a seller pull a sale down if not getting great bids?

Was it a fixed price listing or an auction listing? You can cancel a fixed price listing whenever you want. Auction listing has some rules, but you can cancel those too.

eBay: Canceling a listing

Yes, but it is easier to just add a reserve price and then you don't have to sell it unless it hits that price.

He did the same thing to me. I had bid on the item,as the end was approaching he cancelled my bid and ended the auction. When I messaged asking why my bid was cancelled he claimed a family member will be buying the ticket at full price. Definitely against eBay TOS.

He has since contacted me and we have resolved it.
