Serious answer, like previously said, speculation at this point. Current rumor is their last show is St. Patrick's Day 2019.

A couple of great Canadian actors in the cast. Sara Farb, and Fiona Reid! Interesting that in Canada Fiona Reid is used a lot as over the name casting. So proud of both of them!

Just saw on social media that one of the new ensemble members, Sarita, is going from Ushering the show to being in the cast. Thats amazing!

Very happy for James Snyder who I consider a dear friend.

I believe that Equity allows the British cast to stay for a certain period of time but then requires they be replaced by Americans. In this case the producers seem to have decided to replace the whole cast at once and re-rehearse the entire production.

Very intrigued to see the new cast in action! I wonder if they intend to cast a new batch every March, like in London. That just seems expensive to rehearse and prep. But would keep the show fresh.

James Snyder seems like a very random choice for Harry, but I like how he could be a different take on the role. For everyone saying youre excited about him, are there any examples of him doing intensive dramatic work? If/Then and In Transit certainly never made me think wow this guy HAS to be Harry Potter one day!

The rest of the new cast seems great, and I appreciate how theres a variety of body builds and voice tones, which will definitely change up how the show presents.

I do hope Lauren takes over Delphi! I feel like she would look fantastic and totally deserves it but from the pictures they have of the table reading it seems like the women sitting next to the new Draco will be taking over Delphi. In the Year 1 photo Jessie Fisher who plays Delphi sat right next to Alex Price who plays Draco. So if its the same set up than that would be who plays Delphi but who knows.

As far as the major roles are concerned, my guess is that Sara Farb will take over Delphi, Fiona Reid will play Professor McGonagall/Trolley Witch, and Stephen Spinella will be Professor Snape/Voldemort.

JAMES SNYDER...color me shocked, that a departure! He certainly has a Harry look when I think about it...haven't heard of anyone else.

That being said, are they going to continue to cast this London style? As in, recast the entire thing every year?

 

EDIT-Never mind, I see many ensemble cast returning. Also, it seems some of the new principal cast are UK natives, so that's interesting.

I mean I dont think that is totally true. The girl who plays rose was a understudy with cast one and has been there since, same with the guy who plays Draco. The guy who plays Ron came with cast two and has been there since. The guy who plays Craig has been there since the very beginning. So yes they change people but not the entire cast. We all knew the main 7 were leaving but I am surprised a few others arent staying. Im just curious who is going up understudy Scorpius.
