Has an ensemble role ever been nominated for a Tony Award?

I tried to do some research on this but couldn't find anything. Has any role that's considered an "ensemble" role won/been nominated for a Tony?

It might be a stretch, but de'adre aziza was nominated for best featured in Passing Strange for a collection of roles that could qualify as ensemble (another cast member, Colman Domingo, won a different award as an ensemble member in that show)

If you're talking about people who were on an "ensemble contract" (aka a Chorus contract), there have probably been many.  I don't know for certain if it's true, but it's been reported in the past that everyone in the original CATS was on a Chorus contract, and also just about everyone in LES MISERABLES.   Then there are the dance shows, like DANCIN', FOSSE, MOVING OUT, JEROME ROBBINS BROADWAY, where most of the cast was likely on a Chorus contract --- all of these shows received Tony nominations in acting categories.

I kind of feel like the same could be said of Elizabeth A. Davis in Once.

That's what immediately came to mind for me, too.

But it depends on what you mean by ensemble. Do you mean a chorus member, who plays no named role?
