Rushed this morning, Monday, November 5th at 10:30am. Received four tickets for tonight’s performance in Row C 12 and 14 and Row D 14 and 16. Probably the worst rush seats I’ve ever sat in. Couldn’t see much of the stage, including the judge and witnesses during the trial.

Of course perfect is an exaggeration, but for the price was very good and mostly I felt like I missed the first scene between Daniels and Latanya and that’s it.
Maybe the right side gives a bad view while the left side doesn’t?
I especially have to rave the fact that I could see both the actors playing the accuser and the one who accuses (the lady) in a very perfect angle in their deposition.
I got at first a Balcony seat but the a view from my seat showed me that it was too far and I wanted to see facial expressions.
Paid $49 instead of $29 but it was well damn worth it

They are on opposite sides of the theatre. Evens are house right and odds house left. The pianist blocks much of the stage for house right. House left is definitely much better than the right.
If you’re rushing, try to request either the box seats or seats further back on the sides. Anything closer than E on the extreme house right will be a terrible view.
I have E14, but now nervous I’m going to miss a lot of the show. Do you think I should try and see if I can switch it to E13. I assume the judge and witnesses are more house right then, so they are blocked. @MadsonMelo, you say you only felt you missed 1 scene from house left?
The judge is center or center left, I heard him more than I saw him.
The witness are center stage.
The defender is back orchestra so it doesn’t matter
The accusers are right, so when you are on the left you can see them.
Based on the commentary here, I would say to always prefer left than right.
Maybe I’m wrong and would love to get other opinions, but I felt that my seat (it was D13 but I have to make sure) for $49 was a damn fine seat. But again, D15 right beside me maybe wasn’t as the view as more obstructed.
I did rush a week ago. Arrived at 7:30-ish. Second in line. I got D 9 for $49. I thought it was a great seat for the price. Extremely close to the action and the only thing that was outside of my view was the jury. Had a great view of the accuser’s table during the trial scenes. The person sitting in D 11 said she could not see anything. She left at intermission and someone else snuck into her spot. They promptly left after one scene. I believe the musician was blocking the view from that seat.
Ended up rushing last Wednesday night. Had a balcony ticket and figured I'd check before going in.
At 6:30 PM, I was able to purchase a box seat, $49 dollars. The view was much better than I expected. Had concerns about the boxes at the Shubert from Hello, Dolly but it was a rather nice view for this production.
I got standing room for the show and it was actually pretty good! I would suggest that over the rush tickets. It’s nice because characters do come through the orchestra and fun fact Aaron Sorkin who wrote the play was standing right behind me the entire time.
It is a long show to stand for (2:45) and the writing and pace reflect the time period. But there are some fantastic performances, especially LaTanya Richardson Jackson.
As Lauren2 mentioned (we must have been close), last night was the best of both worlds for a theatre person with Bart Sher taking notes across the aisle from me and Aaron Sorkin sitting on the steps right behind me listening to his dialogue.
I almost wish I didn’t know anything about the show before seeing it- but it really is worth seeing.
I saw it about a week ago but i totally agree with what you are saying! Plus it’s a great stage door! Pretty much everyone comes out and is super nice, LaTanya even said I look 14 and I am 24. ?? Also I don’t know if he comes out all the time but Jeff Daniels came out and signed. No selfies tho.
I rushed today and was 14th in line at 9:10am. They had Orch rush($49), Balc Rush ($29) and SRO ($39) available. By the time I got to the window, only SRO were left and there was a long line behind me. Since it opened last night, I'd suggest getting in the normal line for SRO.

I have Left Mezz, K17 for a show in early January. Based on what I can see from pictures on A View From My Seat, the upper part of the stage is obstructed by the balcony overhang from that far back in the mezzanine. Is there an upper level of the set / will I be missing anything? It doesn't look like I'll be far enough over to the side where things would be cut off, but curious about that as well.

I was at the show last night (Friday 12/14) and you'll be fine. There isn't anything happening above the regular floor level, so nothing missed up there. You're also a bit left, but the only things on stage right (house left) are an empty jury box and a small bench that people sit on (and it doesn't look like the box seats block that anyways). There isn't anything far back on stage either.

As far as sightlines go, you don’t need to worry about missing anything onstage. I sat all the way house right in row K and didn’t miss any action. I will say, however, that the overhang creates this boxed-in claustrophobic feeling that I didn’t care for, so I’d say just be prepared for that!
