Previews for the new musical The Cher Show begin in just a few days (Thursday, November 1, 2018) at the Neil Simon Theatre. Based on Cher’s life story and starring Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, and Micaela Diamond as the titular diva (Star, Lady, and Babe, respectively), The Cher Show is set to open officially on Monday, December 3 for an open run.Who's going?!
Wow, Stephanie, just wow. She has done it all.
Yes, I finally have something to post about! I'm seeing the show November 10th, I'm super excited to see this show, especially after seeing Stephanie's performance in Falsettos.

Super. "Pick your battles.
As long as someone has opened Pandora's box of complaining about preview thread practices...I've always wondered: why do we always have "preview" threads when we could just have a "general discussion" thread for every show? Then when people want to continue discussing the show after opening night, they don't have to choose between using a preview-specific thread, or starting their own thread.

What kind of career does someone have to play both Liza and Cher on Broadway? Insane. Takes a gay icon to play a gay icon :)

How well is this selling? I can't seem to find any discounts.

Though I'm attending Opening Night and intended as that being the day I see the show I'm now planning on seeing it next week. My excitement for its Broadway arrival started when a few weeks ago I happened to be crossing W. 52nd Street as the show was loading in so the sidewalk was crowded with lightning boxes/cases/trunks and the huge LED panels were spread out on the street in front of the Neil Simon Theatre. The backstage door was wide open so you could see the crew building the lighting rigs on stage, etc. You could feel a certain electricity in the air. I genuinely mean that.
Very anxious to hear your report, BrodyFosse. I'll be there opening night, as well. Can't wait to see the changes from the Chicago run!
I hope my gal blows your doors off again.
Seeing it on Tuesday, after seeing it 5x in Chicago. My wishlist: that they expand Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves; that they keep Lucille Ball; that they re-focused Dark Lady. Finally, more Mackie Costumes - this # should get a standing O every night.
