I early voted this past Tuesday! It was my first general election that I’ve voted in and definitely not my last!

What step up?  I haven't missed voting in any election in the last 40+ years.   Not one.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I never miss an election, ad just early voted today.  I proudly cast my ballot for Andrew Gillum here in Florida, and I really think he's going to win.  There's lots of enthusiasm for him.

Usually when I go to early vote, there's not a soul there except for the poll workers.  Today, I had to wait about 10 minutes, which never happens in non-presidential election years.  People are motivated this year.  I live in a reliably "blue" county, so hopefully all these new voters can drive totals up for Gillum.

I have voted by mail.  I have contributed dollars to candidates and organizations that represent my interests.  And should there be a local rally in support of something good, or in opposition to something not good, I will be there.

I can't wait to vote! I just haven't decided if I'm going to go to the polls before or after work (or sometime during the day).

This article has been floating around the internet. It's pretty infuriating that these young adults won't vote because it's too inconvenient for them. I really hope these opinions are not representative of the majority...

I’ve been volunteering for Swing Left.

They have Broadway fan buses going out on Monday to two Swing Districts to canvass. Anyone in?

This is the kinda spirit I was hoping for!

We have come this far always believing
That justice would somehow prevail
This is the burden, this is the promise
This is why we will not fail!

Would you like to join us? Or know people who might? Would love to get the bus full :)

They provide canvass training on the bus.

This is probably the most important election of our lives.

Voted for Beto O'Rourke.  I am so happy that Texas finally got a good democratic challenger.  I HATE Ted Cruz.

Erik as usual, hits the nail on the head,  When my vote counts more than yours it's a problem.

And kudos for that but there is so much more to be done.

Every vote in this election counts and carries weight.

There are major Senate, House, and Governors races happening in every state. Not to mention all of the ballot initiatives that are going to effect everything from minimum wage to the expansion of Medicaid.

Even if you live in a totally Blue district every vote cast against this administration is a lash against them, because all they will do is look at the numbers.

The apathy of my vote doesn’t count when it comes to the local elections is tiring. Don’t buy into propaganda from the other side that is trying to silence your vote. And if you really truly feel your vote “doesn’t count” you better be doing in your power to make sure that you are helping to turn out the vote where you think it really matters.

Apathy from the left will be the death of the Great American Democracy.

Who said anything about not voting or being apathetic?

I was referring to SouthFl perpetuating the idea that in this election their vote would count more than someone else’s.

When it comes to local elections and midterms it's a false narrative.

I think it's important that everyone feels like a blue vote this election feels like a referendum against this administration.

Most of my picks were Dems but I had to support MD's incumbent GOP governor and a few repubs running for county council seats at large.  The Dems have a stranglehold on public office here at the county level and a few members of that tribe have a conspicuous anti-business bent.

I wonder if this huge rise in early voting from first time voters in Texas is from a group that was under-polled and we’re going to see a surprise over there.

I can tell you that here in Florida I haven’t see this much enthusiasm around a candidate in quite a long time. Gillum has people, including me, very excited.

Voted this morning. I have never seen as many cars and people at a Midterm election or even a Presidential election in the 30+ years I have been voting.

Encouraged, just got back from the local polling station and I live in a blue district.  Longer lines than 2016, and (rubs eyes) some young people.
