20 years oh my goodness. Look at you contributing to theatre! I can’t wait to begin directing.

Acted for nearly 25; been directing for over 25. I've had a lot of great times, and my share of war stories as well. I hope that the contributions that I've made are far more positive than otherwise for those involved. I hope.

Favorite roles: Harry Roat in WAIT UNTIL DARK; Uncle Jimmy in NO, NO NANETTE; Major General in PIRATES OF PENZANCE; Sir Evelyn in ANYTHING GOES; Lazer Wolff in FIDDLER
Least favorite role: Hamlet. I was too young and the director was a jerk.
Directed abot 50 plays and musicals.
Lots and LOTS of review shows which are popular with community theatre locally as well as a lot of Children's Theatre when I was in school as my University had lots of ties with early childhood development and education locally. We would plan most of the year with the education majors on our end of the year children's show and have a whole education packet tie in sent out to the schools that would be attending including lesson plans on whatever message the show was teaching that year, activities, craft projects, and an original song written usually be a senior music major that the kids learned and would be able to then come to the show and sing along with the performance.
But a few actual shows over the years... Footloose (Rusty), Wonderful Town (Ruth), Zombie Prom (Strict), and the little known 80s flop... Quilters (Daughter Margaret/Various). Original production only ran for 24 shows but it's a very charming and intimate piece for an all female cast. I have not been in a show in over 10 years however. I moved away and had no time for it and when I moved back home, the three theatres I had always worked with had closed up shop. Not the nearest community theatres that don't just pre-cast with there stock regulars is 45 minutes away so it's just being a fan for me now.
