Can someone else buy my lottery ticket? |
Not quite sure what you mean, since Book of Mormon no longer has an in-person lottery, and lottery winners can purchase their ticket a day in advance online. So, if you get the winning email, there is no check to see that the person who buys the ticket is the same name as the person who won it, AFAIK. And if you have the same last name, I doubt that would trip any wires there.

If your mom is going to the show with you then she should be able to pay for the tickets. The tickets will be in your name at the box office because you were the winner but I don't think they care who pays for it. You may need to she your ID and her credit card to pick up the tickets. If you are both there it should be OK.
I just paid for 2 tickets to My Fair Lady lottery but my nephew won. He was at work and got a text message - he called me and forwarded the email and I was able to go in and pay for the tickets. I will be going to the show with him - the confirmation email came to his email address.
