Hi there,

I am travelling from Singapore to NYC this December and was very excited when I managed to purchase a pair of Harry Potter tickets just in time for the X'mas holidays. However, due to work commitments and a scheduling conflict, I am now forced to postpone my trip and will now only arrive NYC in Jan.

I have 2 tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts1 and 2 on 23 December 2018 at 2pm & 7.30pm purchased fromTicketMaster. I have tried reaching out to TicketMaster to ask if they would be willing to swap / exchange the tickets for a later date. However, they are unable to do this.

I am not looking to make a profit - the face value of the tickets is US$396 and the seats are 12 rows from the stage. I paid TicketMaster US$847.50 (receipt available upon request) for the tickets and some ticket processing and admin fees. As I also incurred some currency exchange charges from the purchase of the tickets on my Singapore issued credit card, I am looking to sell the tickets for US$908.

You're expecting the buyer to also pay for your currency exchange fees? Good luck with that!!!

Thanks for your thoughts. The asking price is basically what I paid for and of course, I am hoping to recover as much of the cost price as possible - no more. I will provide the buyer with my credit card statement and the receipt evidencing payment amount on request. At the end of the day, if there is a genuine interest and offer made for the tickets, I would be open to negotiating the price offline. However, I respectfully cannot see any constructive value in your comment which does nothing except to cause annoyance and exacerbate what is already a disappointing and stressful situation of not being able to watch the show. I trust this chat board can be put to better use.
