Who puts up the money for things like this to happen and why do they need a tax write off that badly?

Excellent idea, considering the show is raising money to help disabled children... siiiigh.

I'd rather just give money to disabled children then sit through this and I think you'll find most people will feel the same way.

Then go for it! Lots of great organizations out there (including the National Inclusion Project) that would do wonderful things with a donation! Let us know which one you choose!

Its a holiday show with people no one really have a desire to see. If anything, Home for the Holidays showed us that tourists in the city DONT want to see a holiday show. They pick the Rockettes or any other broadway show. This will be yet another Holiday show disaster.

You just made me find Archuletta's debut album and I am blasting CRUSH in my ears on the bus!

I would pay for the David's reunion also.

I like Ruben and I just might check the Holiday show out

I'll make a bet with you.

I'll donate $200 to a charity of your choosing if this makes even as much as 60% of its box office potential for over half the weeks of it's run.

And when I win, and I will, you donate $200 to charity of my choosing.

100% real offer.

I immediately thought of Home For The Holidays too.  Then I wondered whether someone is trying to come up with some Broadway versions of the British Christmas pantomimes that seem to be very popular for a short time around the Christmas Holidays.  HFTH certainly wasn't a good start, and I can't help thinking this is going to be a disaster,if not on the epic scale of HFTH.

On what basis are we comparing this? I mean, it's clearly a cheap show to put up - like Home for the Holidays - and rent is getting paid, so I mean, from a landlord perspective it makes sense. But yes, this is a giant theater for this kind of thing and with "spectacular" in the title... is it really going to be?

Based on your experience with HFTH I can't blame you for your cynicism but I think this is not the same at all. What fun. Let's all go see it and then decide, or at least wait for the reviews.

Sondheimite I accept your challenge.

I guess the stage adaptation of "From Justin To Kelly" fell through.

I would love to see the dartboard where they came up with the title for this show. It must've just been a couple dozen vague entertainment and holiday related nouns. Then they threw a bunch of darts and were like "Well, I guess this is the name of the show!"

This makes me so, SO very happy!

It's such a welcomed change from the typical schoolyard bullying banter that happens when some folks disagree.

Everybody wins! At least one of you will probably see the show (the show wins, and as a result, a portion of the ticket sale goes to charity). It doesn't really matter so much who wins the bet (although someone will) because a charity will will ultimately get a donation, regardless.

So refreshing to see this!

I mean this with no snark:

I'm really really really really excited for this!  Either way, everyone wins because money gets donated to a good cause! :)

That marquee is terrible. Luckily it's only a very limited engagement(30 performances).

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's by the same producer as Home for the Holidays. Wonder if they put those cardboard trees in storage.
