What is happening with this Waverly Gallery Playbill Cover??

So The Waverly Gallery got ANOTHER new Playbill cover as of this evening and I have to ask what the hell is Scott Rudin doing? I thought the artwork they used for the first week was beautiful and perfect why is this now the cover?

The original artwork is good. I can see that he wants people to realize it's Elaine May, but at least use a good photo!

At least she looked beautiful in the sitting-on-the-toilet cover. This is just awful.
I usually like Rudin's throwback playbills, but the artwork for the show is gorgeous, so why not use it for the playbill?

This playbill would work better if it was a perspective shot of her trying to rummage through her purse, and without that creepy smile on her face. I'm glad I went Sunday and got the sitting down one.

I was at the show tonight and they had a new cover. Rehearsal picture, black and white, much better than the one posted above. I don’t know how to post a picture however.

It’s under the Golden Theatre location tag on Instagram if anyone wants to take a look. It’s certainly an improvement but why are they going with the closeups? This is the fourth cover since they opened what in the world are they doing

...yes? This is an entire thread hating on the Waverly Gallery playbills, but you’re stuck on my rational comment about being thankful I received a copy with the nicest cover? If you’re trying to insinuate I see shows just to get a Playbill, that is...just plain wrong. Ugh.
