I recently saw a production of Urinetown in Berkeley. It is indeed very timely!!
Also, the opening montage (shown on projector as the overture was playing) contained references to "fake news."

I pray to the theatre gods nightly for a revival of Urinetown starring Andrew Rannells as Bobby.

I saw Urinetown when Broadway performances resumed after 9/11. Love the music and recall enjoying it at the theatre. But can't remember much. Not sure if that is because of the events that took place or the joys of aging.

I'd love a Urinetown revival either on or off Broadway.
I last saw Urinetown in a tiny black-box theatre in Washington DC in late 2016. It needs to be back on Broadway.
