A few thoughts:

If it is Dreamgirls, wasnt that coming in next season? So why would she be leaving in January, if it was next season? Mabye Once on this island is closing?

She could be doing a workshop of Dreamgirls.

Mabye Casey realized the prom isnt going to do to well, so he may bring Dreamgirls in this season.

Uh, guess what, your good buddy "Casey" is a director, not a producer or a theatre owner. He does not decide when to bring in a show.

False. Last I heard Casey has his eye on Ashley DeLaRosa from Mean Girls for Deena in Dreamgirls.

Hailey was up for Celia Goodings’ part in Jagged Little Pill. It’s probably that.

There is absolutely no way it’s Dreamgirls.

Hailey’s contract was extended until January (two months). They’ll probably close then, honestly, but they haven’t decided that yet. Her project after could be literally anything (TV show, regional production, etc), so unless our friend has a source for this unfounded Dreamgirls rumor, then that is completely false and we shouldn’t take it seriously.

Hailey could have a project lined up for after OOTI. And she could also be in contention for Dreamgirls.

But there is nothing saying those are the same things. There could be a project in between the two.

Dreamgirls will open at the Hudson theatre and start previews late March with an opening in April. Head over Heels will announce a January 1st closing.

The producers know that this is a weak season for revivals, so they are gonna open this season.

Also worth noting that on Hailey's Instagram story is something called A.D. 16 with Alex Boniello, so it's likely that's her next project for the foreseeable future. However I haven't seen anything about it other than Hailey's story and an Instagram ad.

Because the one year contracts will be up soon, "stunt casting" is likely. The show is so lovely, it will be sad to see some go... but it it is understandable to keep the show going/people in the seats for as long as possible.
