I saw they recorded this last week. Do they have plans to release it in time for the first preview?

I haven't seen specific dates for the digital of physical releases yet other than sometime this Fall.  Not sure it will be out by the first preview date, but should be very close.

Or they will, but those changes won't be reflected on the album. 13, Spongebob, and Honeymoon in Vegas all did these and I have no idea why.

YouTube's topic channels are already streaming You Happened, Barry's Going to Prom, The Lady's Improving, and three versions of Dance With You (Promposal, Emma's Version, and Instrumental).

The last one is all the same song, just different recordings of it. Is there another track out that I'm missing?

I’m so thrilled it’s out! This score is amazing! Hopefully now people will get a better understanding of the sheer brilliance of this show beyond what they have seen on the Parade and the online clips of the dance numbers with the kids.

Its a terrible musical. But also a lot of fun. Great cast recording!

I'm still not sure how I feel about this show. It's almost as if they slammed together two ideas about a small town prom scandal and Broadway actors striving to do good into one musical. The result is a bizarre little show that for mainstream audiences is probably a bit too insidery for the Broadway plot line and of little interest for the lesbian prom plot line. Even someone like me who would be interested in a musical about either one of those things individually isn't sure what to think when they're combined.

I don't even think it's a bad song, but probably my least favorite. I don't really know how to describe it.

I think "The Acceptance Song" is supposed to be *intentionally* bad/cheesy (the characters mention how awful the lyrics/rhymes are before it is performed). Yes it's hilarious to see it live!

Love the cast album by the way; makes me want to return to the show again soon!

I couldn't decide on that. I settled on simple. They also push the story along for the most part. I found myself falling in love with the music orchestrations and arrangements.

Listened to it this morning - the song with Beth Leavel addressing the town is laugh out loud funny.

My friends and I ran a GSA in our small town high school and faced some ugly (sometimes violent) homophobia. As such I wanted this show to be a little harsher. A little angrier.

On a first listen the Broadway jokes feel tired and the teenage numbers too darned wistful. I'll give it another listen in a day or two but for now I'm curious to see what sort of fan base this show builds. I can't imagine it getting the rabid teen fan base of Dear Evan Hansen or Be More Chill but then it might surprise me.
