waitress, beautiful: the carole king musical, the band’s visit, come from away, groundhog day, kinky boots and once are all listed on the mti website as “being restricted” and their general release is unknown. so, they’re on their way to be licensed for amateur productions, we just don’t know when yet. personally, i’m super hyped for waitress

alright, so, a lot of the shows i mentioned are going to be released basically when the tour is over. beautiful, groundhog’s day, and the band’s visit are portrayed on their home page as being released soon, waitress will probably release the rights when the tour is over in june, come from away will probably be the same and kinky boots rights will most likely be release when the show closes

Look around at what regional professional theatres are producing this year.  Generally, amateur rights are soon to follow or have recently been released:

Holiday Inn, Matilda, Once, Jersey Boys, On Your Feet, Tuck Everlasting, American Psycho,  Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder, Freaky Friday, Mama Mia, American In Paris
