Dear Evan Hansen- Toronto Cast?#1

Any ideas who might be involved in the Toronto production of Dear Evan Hansen? I wonder if they’ll cast the show out of Toronto and Canada or bring in Americans.

And I remember this musical I remember their brilliance And I might never sleep again...

Hopefully Micheal Lee Brown gets a chance to finally be the principle Evan.

The show is trying to cast Canadians! I don't know if Evan is cast yet but everyone else excluding standby's and understudies are.

_jorge:

Residents of Canada are classified under the heading of North AMERICANS.

Perhaps you meant to say " I wonder if they'll... bring in performers from the UNITED STATES. "

It can go either way. The last sit down production in Toronto is the current "Come From Away", which all the performers are Canadian minus a few (Jack Noseworthy comes to mind, but his partner Sergio Trujillo is from Toronto).

The Toronto production of Kinky Boots had all Canadian cast, except for  Alan Mingo Jr. who came from the US.

There might be an American or two, but I think that it will be almost all Canadian. Even this audition notice for Equity and Non Equity that was sent out in Toronto, Montreal, and (I believe) Vancouver shows them looking for Evan. I think that they would want to have a Canadian Evan.
