Disney World - Best Hotels Nearby? |
If you are on a budget then staying on the Disney property would have been quite expensive. Will you have a car? Are you wanting to do other things in Orlando during your trip other than Disney? All of this makes a difference. If you are only doing Disney, then I would recommend hotels in Kissimmee, Florida, which is about 10 -15 minutes away from Disney, depending on traffic. There you will find reasonably priced (as far as Orlando area goes) accomendations. I cannot suggest a specific hotel since I usually just drive down from my city. If you are wanting to do other things while in Orlando, then just Disney, I would recommend staying at hotels on International Drive. There are all kinds of food establishments and other entertainment options there. Then it is an easy (unless there is traffic) jump onto Interstate 4 and go into downtown Orlando. Also from International Drive you are not far from the Millenia Mall which offers quite a bit of exclusive shopping. I would not wait on making reservations, especially if your trip is next month. As you have stated there is no off season for Disney and/or Orlando.
Disney Pro here! There is a hotel near the parks (I stay there often) Springhill Suites at Flamingo Crossing, easily 10 minutes from the parks and no where near the price of other hotels and I could be wrong but I think they offer a shuttle to the parks (that right there is saving you 20 bucks a day).
PM me for specifics, I’m happy to help.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
We lucked out and found a super cheap deal on Expedia for the B Hotel at Disney Sprimgs. Not having to worry about transport to and from a non resort hotel was important for me, so this seems like the best non Resort option this close to our dates. Thanks again, all three of you!
I’m sure I’ll have more questions as we get closer to our arrival in only a couple weeks. Very excited.
