Did I miss an announcement, but in the video Sara comments Gavin is stepping in as Dr. Pommater.

He wouldn’t be a terrible choice and he already has a history of doing shows over there.

Yeah, I don't think Gavin is stepping into waitress. He's said on several occasions that the next thing he wants to do is originate a role not replace or revive one.

Why would recently Tony-minted Gavin Creel temporarily step into a role on the West End... in a show that is also currently on Broadway?

Maybe he’ll do Waitress for a bit before Hello, Dolly opens up over there.

He's a Tony- and Olivier-winning actor. His boyfriend's in the Broadway production. If he chooses to do it in London (perhaps with Henry), why not?

Yeah I think she just roped him in to sing a couple of Dr P Jenna duets with her for the Waitress promo.

I saw him in the role last month and he was adorable!!!! West End would be blessed

100% agree! I saw him and Sara...they had such amazing chemistry and played really well off each other! I guess it helped that they're such good friends. But I was so impressed...I had seen Sara previously in the role in her last stints, but it seemed like she got even better this time around. A+ performances from everyone (and especially Larry Marshall-he's so good as Joe!)
