My partner and I will be in New York from October 15th through 19th. We're thinking of doing the following shows through TKTS/other discount methods: 1) Once on This Island, 2) Head Over Heels, and 3) My Fair Lady.

Assuming it's still open, we will likely do digital rush for Head Over Heels. For the other two, how bad is the TKTS line on a weekday and when would we have to arrive? It looks like MFL is listed daily at TKTS, but do they ever run out of inventory?

Thanks in advance - this is the first trip I haven't just bought everything in advance, and it's a new experience for me.

The line will be worth the wait the first time, because you can show your ticket stub and take the very, very, short line the next two times!  Absolute BEST thing about TKTS is that short line!

Check out the Lincoln Center TKTS window, there's rarely a line -- and some shows also offer tickets a day in advance, if you're trying to plan ahead! (And you'll already be in the area for My Fair Lady.) The Times Square booth only sells tix for that day, and the line will probably be longer.

The TKTS LIVE app/website will list all the current offerings: https://www.tdf.org/nyc/81/TKTS-Live

Once on This Island is pretty easy to do lottery, as they offer lottery loser tickets for $10 more if you don't get picked. And it's pretty hard to get a bad seat there anyway...

Otherwise, if you can join TDF, you can probably have Once and Heels sorted in advance for under $50/ticket.

Thanks all, I really appreciate the input.

I am on TDF, and am crossing my fingers that OOTI shows up for my dates. (Unfortunately it seems like TDF only puts up dates a few days in advance).

The Lincoln Center TKTS seems like the way to go in general. Does anyone know if you can get the 7 Day Fast Pass by buying tickets there, as opposed to the Times Square location?

Could you please elaborate on this? I've not heard of a "short line"; how does this work?

The TodayTix rush for Head Over Heels is INCREDIBLY easy and tickets are $35, I believe.

From TDF website...

FAST PASS:

TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass allows TKTS patrons to return to the Times Square ticket booth within 7 days of their TKTS purchase and walk up to window #1 with their TKTS ticket stub, thereby avoiding the longer lines at peak hours!

Hi, I believe that you can use TKTS tickets purchased at the Lincoln Center location to get into the FastPass line at Times Sq for a future show. "TKTS" is printed on the ticket regardless of which booth you buy it from. You wouldn't need a FastPass for Lincoln Center, I was there earlier this week and there was nobody waiting in line.
