Best Jenna?

Who is (in your opinion obviously) the best Jenna in waitress? I saw Sara in the role and she blew my expectations! Her acting is out of this world and she is a power house, better than I expected I adore her!

I’ve seen almost all of the Broadway Jenna’s (NEED to stop by the diner again for Nicolette and the new cast) and my order would go as follows:

1. Jessie
2. Stephanie
3. Sara
4. Kat
5. Betsy

Based on word-of-mouth alone, I expect Nicolette to fall between Stephanie and Sara. I would like to make a trip to see the Waitress tour - what are people’s opinions on the tour casting?

I have seen all the Jenna’s except Stephanie and Desi and thought they were all great, but if I had to choose I’d go:

1. Katharine - it’s like Sara wrote the songs for Kat’s voice and it was effortless, and her performance for me was definitely the most nuanced, realistic  and moving of all the Jenna’s I’ve seen. Also it was a really great audience the night I went. 

2. Jessie - I just love Jessie’s voice and her Jenna had a lot of energy, although sometimes I think Jessie’s acting is a little OTT. 

3. Sara - Sara’s voice is insanely good and it was amazing seeing her sing her own songs live and she absolutely slayed them, but I did think her acting lacked in comparison to the other Jennas

4. Betsy - A really strong performance but I’m just not a huge fan of Betsy’s voice. I mean the girl can sing but for Jenna I think the role fits a more beautiful voice, if that makes sense. I also went on a fairly quiet night so I don’t think that helped as there was a little less energy in the room

Not gonna get a chance to see Nicolette sadly.

God I feel I could vote on this every day and each time I’d have a different order. Waitress is my broadway go to show wheneverI need a pick me up, and I finallllly got to see Stephanie a couple weeks ago, so I can tick off all the Broadway Jennas woohoo! They’ve all been superb Jennas for me but ....

*disclaimer* I did see Betsy with Jason Mraz as Dr P tho and I just thought his acting was so hammy that I think it threw me off my enjoyment of the whole show haha!

If we’re going for best Dr P’s I have to say I absolutely LOVED Erich Bergen! And Drew is always fab

Out of the 5 I saw(Jessie,Sara,Desi Oakley, Stephanie Torns and Emily Koch) my favorite is Desi. I have a feeling that will change after I see Christine Dwyer. She's basically my favorite person in the world. I'm also seeing Nicolette a week before I see Christine.
