Hmmmmm so Moulin Rouge rumors about taking over after Kinky Boots may be true? And what about Dreamgirls? Apparently they were rumored to be "dying" to take the Winter Garden as well..

Very very exciting.

More and more theaters are filling up, not leaving any for so many rumored productions. Guess Moulin Rouge will wait a season.

I like the new font choice for “the musical” x3 better than the old one. 

* That mock up of the marquee actually looks fantastic. It kind of looks like the Winter Garden bulbs will go green which is a fun idea.

Be more chills acting tony nomination chances are getting slimmer and slimmer, with each new announcement. (Tootsie, Beetlejuice, etc.)

Also if alex goes to the broadway run, hes back home! How exciting!

Also, I think dreamgirls is dead at this point.

It's been said many times that MR was planning a summer '19 arrival.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

A friend in casting told me Dreamgirls isn't dead, they just don't want to move forward without Riley who has TV and film projects in the works.

Okay, so I guess it may be awhile. Although I feel like they could cast a star as Curtis or Deena and it'll be just as noteworthy.  Digress.

I'm really excited to see what they do with this set. I keep imagining the Adam's Family set or something similar.

Are younger generations even familiar with the movie?  I remember watching it in the 80's and being thoroughly entertained, but how familiar is it to people born after 1990?

All Tim Burton films have cult followings with younger generations. Plus there was the animated series that many grew up with in the 90s.

I was born in '92. I feel like I never actually purposely put the movie on, but it was always playing on TV. I've seen it fully maybe like 4 times.

I think young people have heard of Beetlejuice, but probably haven't actually watched it. It is on TV a lot, but it is kind of cult-y.

From what I do know about the film, it's not that explicit or too much adult content. With the warnings they've put on the website and all the marketing I'm wondering if we can expect something Book of Mormon-ish?
