Barry Keating the writer of this Tony-nominated, girl-power, comic book, musical is trying to raise funds to bring this lovely show back to Broadway. I did this show in High School and it holds a special place in my heart. If you can, help him out!

In the video, it says the money will be used to hold backers auditions for the show and record/produce demos of the music.

i feel like $25,000 isn’t even anywhere near what it would have cost in the 80s when it originally was on broadway

$25,000... is... not enough.

$25,000 is not being used to pay for an entire Broadway production. It's being used to basically pay for initial steps.

Yes, I think we (or at least most of us) get that.  The point is that $25K doesn't "basically pay" for any of those initial steps --- even if their ultimate goal was to get to a church basement in Hoboken (let alone Broadway). But it's great that they want "the best producers, the best designers, the best theatre owners (as opposed to what -- the second or third best theatre owners?)), the best creative team".  It sounds like a Trump rally!

But it's a nice way to make a quick 25 Gs, huh?  They could do a twenty-nine hour reading, but who would come?  They can record demos for that, but who would listen?  Perhaps he's forgotten the show was a complete and utter flop on B'way the first time, and it didn't belong there then.  Go Fund Me is usually for people who need money, not for projects but for personal reasons.

Starmites was painful enough the first time around. The only reason it was nominated was that there were so few musicals that year..   Next your going to tell me they are bringing back Bring Back Birdie.

Good lord, I dont want to see this on a high school stage yet alone on Broadway.
