Hey everyone! I've had such a difficult time finding a monologue that I really like/ can do a lot with. I have competition this year and I'm looking for something:
-a minute and a half to two minutes long (1-2 minutes)
-female
- a character who is young
-i work best with bubbly/nerdy/activist/innocent type character traits

I appreciate any suggestions! Thank you.

There is a great monologue called The Waltz (not written to be performed, but it works beautifully) by Dorothy Parker.  It goes back and forth between between her public persona and her actual thoughts upon being asked to dance.  You would need to cut it, but it's great.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
