The "Head Over Heels Musical" cast recording can help make the world a better place by spreading the positive message of inclusiveness thru music.
Lots of lives have been touched with the music of "The Gogo's" and when the musical premiered in Broadway...it even had a wider impact on the acceptance of non-binary individuals with the introduction of the very first transgender broadway lead in the person of "Peppermint".
The availability of the cast recording will be an even more powerful media to inspire the youth of today and everybody who wants to escape to a world of utopia where everybody is equally accepted whether they be Transgender, Non-Binary, Asexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Furry, Lesbian, Bisexual, or Gay.
A petition won’t do anything. They need money and they ain’t got it.

You do know that this music already exists in recordings, so the fact that there is unlikely to be a cast recording isn't going to deprive today's "youth" of any "inspiration." Which is, I might add, a term that generally has not been applied to the Go-Gos music.

Didn't Ken Davenport already try that for Spring Awakening? (And, by the way, upon seeing the headline that Ghostlight is recording "Gettin the Band Back Together" wonder where the money is coming from?)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Most likely the producers and investors with the money (which head over heels doesn't have much of). They'd be better off sending out a colorful mailer like GTBBT except theirs should actually be interesting...
200-300K. The actors alone make a week's salary for doing it (if I remember correctly), not to mention the orchestra members need to be compensated, plus studio time, editing, remixing....blah, blah, blah.

LOL! I made one because I loved the song choices and because I had too much fee time on my hands! I am hoping for a recording (trying to keep positive!)
Totally forgot Gwyneth Paltrow was a producer on this, until this thread!! Haha.

I know most flailing shows record a cast album for regional/community theater licensing sake - but now that I think about that, where will this ever get produced? The subject matter is pretty radical for most of America, and those who may accept it probably also agree that the material is...not good. I guess I could see it at The Muny in 3 years, but I cannot see this being a licensing hit at all. Just my two cents, since I know they’re losing money every week, and the choice to put so much into a cast recording doesn’t add up to me.

Get a grip. RENT, Cabaret, and even Grease are equally (well, more) radical than this show, and they manage to get produced frequently.
I'm sorry, I was just reading your pitch on change.org and am I reading this correctly?

Except those were all beloved and long running musicals -- giving the public a chance to catch up with the ideas that might have made it too aggressive. This will close so fast that most will not have even heard of it .
