The Chicago Theatre, early 1999.
He was adorable; he played the student who comes out toward the end.
Can't recall if there was anyone else of note in that cast.
There is - or was - a CD available.
This was nineteen years ago! Incredible!
Part of a 3-show subscription series which also included Evita (Now, who could have been in that...? Don't remember anything 'cause I didn't see it) and Victor/Victoria with Toni Tenille (which got cancelled).
Memories, anyone?

Many Many memories! I actually joined this tour a few months before it ended. Gavin was destined for stardom and was a superstar in this role. This was also the start for Jenn Gambatese! We were doing Summer Stock together and she went into the city on a day off and went to open call and got the role. Her and Gavin were perfect! A couple other "unknowns" back then that have made it to Broadway and beyond.

Such a fun show with a great cast!

I didn't get to see Gavin in this but I have the CD of course! By the way, that 1998-99 tour of Evita starred Raúl Esparza and Natalie Toro.
