So I have an audition coming up and have been asked to sing a ballad and a rhythmic musical theatre song accompanied. Problem is I am a strong alto and find it difficult to find songs that suit my range - some low notes to a C#5 (a D5 if not sustained) - and songs that are also appropriate for my age (I am 15 turning 16). A problem I occur is that most of the songs are very low and therefore uninteresting or are very seductive which is not really appropriate for my age. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!
