Head over Heels Cast Recording? |
It think it just depends on who's willing to throw their money away. Granted, as you said, it'll probably have a life beyond Broadway but someone still has to pay for the album.

^^^ True enough, but if there's one thing I've learned and what many a Broadway writer has said, if you want your show to have any life like, AT ALL....the one investment that should be made is a cast album for sure. Everything else could be debated, but when shows never got a cast album, history shows us that most of them died. I can't imagine HoH won't, it sounds like it absolutely should, but we can only speculate for now.
I think a cast recording would be a smart investment for promoting future regional productions of the show and I suspect a recording announcement could come soon.....I am surprised that there don't appear to be any show posters for sale for this....at least not online at Triton Gallery.....are they selling at the theatre? Seems like a no-brainer as a souvenir for fans of the show.

Very interesting....they aren't even selling them on the show's website....they do have clothing and magnets, etc, but no show cards.....I'll have to see if I can find one online somewhere to add to my collection!

There are a couple up on eBay.
Cast recordings are very expensive, and seeing as they're practically asking strangers on the street for investments to keep it running, it may be that they simply have no funds for it.

It's always a no-brainer when it's someone else's money that needs to be spent.
